To our Bhairavi family,
We are writing to share an important update about the future of Bhairavi Awakenings Corporation.
At the General Body Meeting held on April 18, 2026, a resolution to dissolve the organization was passed by majority vote (14–1–1). Following this, the Board of Directors will begin the formal process of closing the organization.
Bhairavi was founded with a clear purpose: to bring an authentic, traditional Durga Puja to the community in Greater Cincinnati. Central to that effort was the Durga Puja idol, secured through the personal commitment and resources of one of our founders. That idol has now been donated to another organization. Along with the permanent relocation of other board members, this marks a natural point of closure. Rather than attempt to rebuild under different circumstances, the decision has been made to conclude Bhairavi’s journey at this point.
In a short time, we built something meaningful. Bhairavi brought together families across Greater Cincinnati and created a shared cultural space. We hosted a Durga Puja on its traditional dates, in a way that felt true to Kolkata, and a Saraswati Puja that carried the same spirit. We created spaces where people gathered, contributed, performed, and connected.
That work matters. It will continue to matter, long after the organization itself concludes.
To everyone who supported Bhairavi, whether by volunteering, organizing, cooking, performing, donating, or simply showing up, thank you. Bhairavi was never just a nonprofit. It was a community, and that community does not end here.
We will share further details on the next steps in the coming weeks. Until then, we hope the spirit of Bhairavi continues in your homes, your celebrations, and your connections with one another.

With immense gratitude and joy, we thank every devotee, volunteer, performer, parent, child, and well-wisher who joined us for Cincinnati Sarvajanin Saraswati Pooja 2026.
From the pooja and pushpanjali to Haatey Khori, cultural performances, plays, music, dance, poetry, and shared meals, every moment was made meaningful by your presence and participation.
Over the course of the last two days, we were blessed to welcome more than 300 attendees, even with the inclement weather warnings today. A heartfelt thanks to you all! Your trust and dedication made this celebration possible. Your time, energy, and love brought the spirit of Saraswati Maa alive.
We are deeply grateful for the warmth and encouragement our community continues to show at every event!
